Dutch Open A-class 2011
Again the dutch a-class open will be hosted by catamaranclub hellecat - www.hellecat.nl.
Lessons learned from last year have led to the hellecat decision to allow early access to beach and clubhouse for all participants fo the dutch open. This means you can use the facilities at hellecat the whole week before the Dutch Open.
This promises to be an interesting year. Lots of new developments already last year in the A-class, and this year we know that new boats are lining up to have a go at the famous DNA.
In the Netherlands Piet Saarberg and Hans Klok have built a new A-class catamaran, the A-Vision. And first impressions are such that we expect fierce competition. Rumor has it that this boat will be easier to sail downwind, and that it picks up speed already in lighter winds. We'll see, time and a few races will sure tell.

Camoing on the beach is not allowed by local authorities, but there are campings, chalets etc in the close proximitiy.
